COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Partnering with our local community leaders, medical professionals and colleges,

I will:

  • create a network of professionals dedicated to helping our often-marginalized communities of addicted and mentally ill in the custody of the sheriff

  • Expand the vocational and educational opportunities offered to those incarcerated.

FAIRNESS & ACCOUNTABILITY

As former Chief Judge and Drug Court Judge of the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, I value education over incarceration, accountability and impartiality overall.

As sheriff I will employ the same standard established in my section, which has had the reputation of being both fair and holding those who have comitted crimes accountable.
